Ack AttAck!

So on November 29th, I finally get around to posting about a crazy dream/synchronicity that happened a few weeks prior, which bizarrely involves the amazingly uncommonly used slang word: Ack! With an exclamation point.

Was this in reference to the Cathy comic by Cathy Guisewite? Of course. Have I read that comic in I don’t know, like 15 years? Of course not. Was I ever even really a fan? Also no. I actually had to look up if the dream got the spelling right there and yes. According to Google, there are other variations she used, but ACK!, was in fact common. Don’t let anyone tell you the cosmic hive mind writing team doesn’t have a sense of humor.

Anyway, a mere 4 days after I posted this article, the exact word with the exclamation mark showed up in the video game I was playing, which also happened to be impressively excellent Disco Elysium. Here are the receipts and what are the odds, right?

The prior sync also did have to do with a video game as well, so there’s also that fringe connectivity.

On another note, a few weeks later I had one of those classic non-sequitur pre-cog experiences. While pulling out of a dream I’m told:

“Maybe we should just reschedule the presentation”

I get up thinking this is very weird. I do have a webinar to do that morning and I am sick, but I’m working from home so can totally handle it. I’ve essentially done the same webinar like 15 times with exactly zero issues at this point. But of course, this time shit went totally south. They’d installed a ton of new updates in GoToWebinar since the last time I used it and somehow one of the new features killed my video. The whole thing was an absolute disaster but where it gets all spooky is when my co-presenter actually says:

“Maybe we should just reschedule the presentation”

And thus the prophecy had been fulfilled.
